My new year's eve menu ( Home cooking is great)

Hainanese chicken and rice. COST: chicken, garlic, ginger, pandan leaves $8/-(1 large chicken)
Scallops with saute spinach. COST: $10/_( 1 packet)
Mussel pan fried with garlic. COST: 1 box; $8/-
Saute' 3 types of mushroom $6/-
Kong pow frog legs $15/-(1 packet)
Mixed Vegetables $5/-
Thai chillies prawn $8/- ( 500g prawn brought 1 week before LNY)
Clear vegetables soup $3/-
total:$63/-
Portion: Enough for 12 persons
Cost: $5.25 per person
Time taken to prepare 3 hours.

With a little planing and 2 hours shopping time, all you have to know is the basic cooking method
and you and your family of 12 need not spend more then $200 in the coffee shop or more money then 200. The portion size we prepare ourselves is huge, and is a faction of the cost. Saving money is good, you don't have to work many hours O.T. to provide your family a decent meal.
